Hello all and welcome back to the Inked Podcast Blog! Today we are going to be summing up episode six of our first season in which we talked to Miss Alea about what it is like to be a planner and how her brain functions as one! So, without further ado let's just jump into our questions and Alea's responses!
What is the hardest part of planning your stories?
"The hardest part for me is actually making the time and space to do that planning, planning takes a lot of time and so I procrastinate it very often when I sit down to do it,"
Reilly's Note: We love planning until we have to force ourselves to do it
Why do you put yourself through planning/why is it helpful?
"It is so helpful and so fun to do once you get past that initial dread, it helps you make sure your story is flowing properly and gets your creativity moving, it also helps with keeping all your thoughts in one place, and keeps you organized with all your different thought patterns,"
Reilly's Note: It also helps you get excited to write your story, you get to see how the story unfolds which often reminds you why you became a writer in the first place
What is your biggest piece of advice for those who are planning for the first time?
"Don't put low expectations on your story, because if you do that your story can't grow, and when you do that, you're also putting yourself down, and if you don't write that story because you doubted yourself then maybe someone who you could have affected wouldn't get that huge impact that your story would have left them with"
We hope that this episode of the podcast helped you today as you might be planning for the first time! So, thank you for listening or reading Alea's advice today and we will see you next time!
